Frequently Asked Questions
  1. What is Hotel Reservation Protection?
While you are a Member of our Service, Hotel Reservation Protection provides cash back (by way of a cheque to you or a bank transfer to your bank account) if a hotel located anywhere in the world with which you have made a reservation and from which you have received a verifiable confirmation number notifies you on arrival that it has no rooms available because of Overbooking and you have to stay at another hotel.

Please read the Hotel Reservation Protection Terms of Service for full details of the terms and conditions of this Protection.

  2. How much can I claim per incident?
We will reimburse you for an amount equivalent to the quoted room rate for the hotel with which you originally booked (excluding any taxes and fees) up to a maximum of £250 in any Year.

This Hotel Reservation Protection is in excess of any expenses that are reimbursable by the hotel with which you originally booked. You must also have used all reasonable endeavours to obtain redress or compensation under any insurance policies available to you.

  3. When can I make a claim?
You must be a Member at the time of the incident and at the time your claim is submitted. You must have booked and guaranteed your room with a valid credit or debit card and must have been provided with a reservation confirmation number. You must provide proof from the Hotel that there were no available rooms at time of check-in as a result of Overbooking. You must have stayed in another hotel that evening for which you have received a receipt. The Overbooked hotel or the hotel in which you stay for the night must be more than 50 miles from your home. The overbooked hotel must be more than 50 miles from your home. This protection is valid for one night per trip. Your claim must be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from the date of the Overbooking. "Overbooking" occurs when a reservation is made (and a reservation number is issued) for a room that is available on a specific date for an agreed rate; and subsequently at the time of your check-in, no room is available for you at that rate (or less) at the same hotel, and "Overbooked" shall have a corresponding meaning.
