Journey Delay Protection

While you are a Member of our Service, Journey Delay Protection will cover emergency out
of pocket expenses that you reasonably incur as a result of a minimum twelve (12) hour journey delay
where the delay is caused by one or more of the following:
- Delay by an airline, train, bus, coach, ship or boat ("Common Carrier")
- Lost or stolen passport, travel documents or money of the Member
- Quarantine of the Member
- Natural disaster affecting the journey
- Injury or sickness of the Member
Journey Delay Protection covers up to £275 per Year in total for any reasonable out of pocket emergency
expenses that you incur as a result such as accommodation or travelling expenses. You must make every
reasonable effort to avoid additional expenses. This benefit is payable for only one delay per journey.
This Protection is in excess of any expenses that are reimbursable by the Common Carrier. You must also
have used all reasonable endeavours to obtain redress or compensation under any insurance policies
available to you.
References in these Terms of Service to a Year are to the 12 month period commencing on the date on
which the Member joins the Service or any subsequent 12 month period, as applicable.
You must be a Member at the time of the incident and at the time a Claim is processed. Your claim
and supporting documentation must be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days from the
date of the incident.
You can
initiate a claim on this site. You
need to submit a claim within 30 days of the incident that triggers the claim. You will need to submit a
completed claim request form along with a copy of the credit/debit card statement(s) or other proof of payment
that evidences the relevant emergency expenses incurred. You must include the name, address and phone
number of the credit/debit card provider, if these are not visible on the copy of the statement(s).
In addition to the qualifications stated above, the following expenses are not covered by Journey Delay Protection:
- Alcohol
- Forms of entertainment, including theatre, movies, shows etc.
- Hotel or other accommodation costs in excess of £50 per night
- Limo or executive car service
- Communication services (i.e. telephone, mobile or internet) in excess of £25
